Verandah, Outdoor Lounge, Pool and Garden
The property has a huge parking area with a Balinese temple flanked by numerous Bougainvilleas and is entered by a large silver gate. Guests will be greeted by a bubbling water feature and pink flowering bougainvillea. The villa is elevated above the garden, accessed by seven steps, and fronted by an impressive, raised, colonial-style veranda, complete with large round grey marble-effect pillars and silver Louvre doors.

Ever mindful of preserving the environment, the owners have demonstrated their respect for nature by building the property around a towering fig tree, which grows through the veranda and through the upstairs balcony and roof. All of the downstairs rooms open onto the breezy veranda, so this is the social hub of the villa, presenting a polished cement floor with a marbled effect. It is furnished with mats, cushions, and a dining table that can comfortably seat ten for an alfresco dining experience in real Bali style. Within the garden is another hang out, a large chill out area, big enough for 15 people, complete with low tables and speakers from the sound system; it is sheltered by a thatched roof.

The infinity-edge swimming pool measures 23 x 6 meters and is 1.2 meters in depth at the deep end with a shallow shelf for sitting and for kids. It is fed by three little waterfalls and bordered by a timber deck. It also features a wooden platform that appears to float on the surface of the water, complete with daybeds and a serene Buddha statue, making this a delightful and peaceful spot to relax and chill out. The garden is suitable for weddings and parties with up to fifty guests. At the back of the villa is a walled courtyard with a pebbled floor, flowering shrubs, and another Buddha statue.

Entrance Hall and Entertainment Room
The Entertainment Room is located next to the hall on the ground floor; this cozy air-conditioned snug is equipped with satellite TV, DVD and VRC players, stereo music system, and 24 hour free Wi-Fi Internet access, ceiling fans, a built-in desk, large mirror, a large comfortable daybed and a large low wooden centered table for more intimate meals. Colorful artwork adorns the walls and – with its striking orange and red tiled floor – this is the only room in the villa that doesn’t stay completely true to the black, white and silver theme.

Kitchen
The service kitchen is also located on the ground floor; it is well equipped and fitted with glass-fronted silver-door wall cupboards. It is here that the staff will prepare delicious meals and freshly squeezed fruit juices. The dining table is located next to the kitchen on the veranda.

Master Suites
Accessed by a flight of polished concrete stairs at the back of the villa, the two upstairs bedrooms offer guests two air conditioned suites. The glassed folding doors on either side allow for cross ventilation during the day time or during the night in case the guests prefer the natural breeze from the sea.

Both spacious bedrooms feature a wooden floor under the soaring roof, and both open onto a wide balcony at the front, furnished with white all season rattan sofas and presenting wonderful views of the river, the temple and the beach, which will lull guests to sleep with its peaceful melody.

River Bungalow
The air-conditioned River Bungalow is a charming self-contained guesthouse, located in the garden. As the name suggests, it borders the river and is characterized by a wrap around veranda complete with pillars and holes in the floor to accommodate living trees. Villa Bangkuang is located in Sogsogan, a charming seaside village surrounded by rice fields and set against the twin backdrops of misty volcanoes and pounding surf. Although only 25 minutes’ drive from the cosmopolitan glamour of Seminyak, Sosogan and the neighbouring Seseh village retain the customs and culture of old Bali. Cows are herded through the fields, rice is planted and harvested throughout year, and the sound of ritual music is carried on the breeze. The approach to Seseh is by way of a country lane; emerald rice fields line the road as it meanders through an avenue of coconut palms. Farmers in conical hats riding rusty old upright bicycles are a common sight-the bucolic daily life of the village has not been dented by tourism.

Bedrooms

Set towards the back of the compound, looking out over the delightful gardens stands the principal guest suite. It is accessed from a cosy veranda furnished with large daybed and rattan furniture. The king-size four-poster bed in this room features an antique, Javanese carved wood frame, with exquisite hand-painted headboard, while the garden bathroom is fitted with a sunken bathtub and open-air rain shower.

Guest Bedrooms Three and Four (twin beds)
Side by side on the ground floor of the villa’s only double-storey pavilion are two twin-bedded guest rooms which make ideal children’s quarters for family groups. Accessed via glass sliding doors, both share similar features of sweet, colour-coordinated furnishings, low ceilings and terrazzo stone floors. These rooms are more modern and functional in style, furnished with desks and decorated with tasteful modern art. Under the twin beds are neat trundle beds, making these rooms practical for up to four guests each. Doors from both rooms lead to open-air garden bathrooms: smaller in size than those of the principle suites, but still featuring sunken bathtubs which blend seamlessly with the stone floors plus outdoor tropical rain showers.

Bedroom Five (queen-size bed)
An open stairway to the right of bedrooms three and four leads up to a breezy veranda and Villa Surya Damai’s fifth bedroom. Overlooking the gardens and with views out to the fields and rice terraces beyond, this second-storey bedroom is more traditionally Asian in style. With its lofty ceiling, bedroom five is furnished with a romantic queen-size four-poster bed plus an antique wood wardrobe and desk. A set of aged timber doors leads to the only indoor bathroom of the house, with low ceiling, walk-in glass shower cubicle and, similar to the bedroom, cool terrazzo stone floors.

Living, Dining and Kitchen
Heart and hub – literally – of the property, the open-sided living pavilion looks out over the pool, the gardens and the rice fields beyond. Two comfy sofas and a deep daybed with white cushions frame a large antique coffee table making a sociable space which is attractively and subtly lit at night, while a satellite TV, camouflaged in a wooden cabinet along with DVD player and Bose sound system offer audio-visual distraction. In tropical yet homely style, this room features terrazzo stone floors and soaring alang alang ceiling, and is kept cool with natural breezes and ceiling fan. Understated décor includes candles, fresh orchids and the traditional carved artifacts.

In contrast to the living pavilion, the dining room is encased in glass folding doors which, when closed, project a more formal atmosphere. The room is dominated by a table crafted from a single block of aged teak wood, surrounded by 12 tall-backed cream upholstered chairs. A ceiling fan keeps the room cool and a lengthy lily pond runs alongside, featuring a water fountain and playful fish. A covered stone pathway links the dining room to a fully-equipped kitchen that is amply efficient yet homely in style. Veranda, Living and TV Room
Adjoining bedroom five, upstairs in the two-storey pavilion, a wide veranda provides an alternative living area. Open-sided and with high ceilings, the fan cooled timbered veranda overlooks the entire property. Entertainment is provided with a satellite TV, DVD player and sound system, hidden in a large wooden cabinet. Comfortable seating comes in the form of a squashy L-shaped sofa and some large floor cushions.

Pool and Garden
Villa Surya Damai’s gardens consist of gorgeously spongy lawns, edged with tropical foliage and trees, criss-crossed with stone-paved pathways and decorated with intricate carved stone wall panels. The striking 18 x 7m infinity-edge pool is bordered on one side by a simple grass and stone deck where cushioned sun-loungers beckon. Lawns slope down from the far side of the pool to a 60m river frontage, edged with exotic palm fronds and coconut trees; the low wall encircling the gardens allows maximum views of the rice fields beyond.

Dusk is a particularly lovely time in the garden at Villa Surya Damai. Location
Villa Surya Damai is located at the edge of the peaceful village of Umalas, one of a group of small rural communities that constitute the Kerobokan district, just north of bustling Seminyak. The villa lies off a narrow lane that runs across a small bridge and dissects the rice fields. The Entrance
The main gate opens onto a paved parking area which leads in to the main entrance of the villa. The right side pathway leads to the entrance of the Main House, while the left side to the Guest Wings. A security post is located on the side of Villa Main entrance to ensure the safety of the villa.

The Garden
Villa Paloma features an extensive garden with lush foliage comprising diverse types of tropical flowers and plants providing enough space for relaxation. An outdoor dining table is set for up to 6 persons for either to enjoy breakfast in a warm sunrise or dinner by the swimming pool.

The Swimming Pool
The large swimming pool is located in the garden, overlooking the terraced rice field surrounded the villa. Several long chairs are scattered along this 90m2 swimming pool providing enough space for everybody to enjoy the sun by the pool.

The Bale
Providing small havens of shade and solitude, this thatched bale offering a space for relaxation and to appreciate the natural surroundings or simply to spend the afternoon in a luxurious style.

Dining area
Main House dining area consists of two parts. One is an informal dining area located in the garden and the other dining table connecting the living area with the main kitchen, featuring 8 comfortable seats by a Chinese antique cabinet. The dining area is kept cool by a roof fitted fan.

A small dining are in the corner of the kitchen could be also a comfortable option for a small party of closed friends for a more warm and casual dining during breakfast or quick lunch. The Guest Wing also offers an open dining area by the kitchen for a more option of privacy once needed by the guests.

Kitchen
The kitchen is located in the Main House, situated next to the dining room which is equipped with all modern amenities and also spacious room for the convenience of the guests. Small pantry is allocated on the site of the kitchen while the staff entrance is provided from the back of the kitchen to ensure the guests comfort during the food preparation. Several antique collections displayed in the kitchen add certain vibrant to this area.

The Living Area
The spacious living area is featuring antique teakwood floor, comfortable set of sofas, a sofa bed, and one antique coffee table. Above the Living Area, a small room is dedicated for one set of pool table for a private entertainment area. This room is overlooking the garden and the terraced rice fields and also equipped by ceiling fans for some hot days.

Bedroom 1 / Master bedroom
The master bedroom is located in the Main House, featuring a king sized bed with the romantic mosquito net, a flat TV screen accompanied with a DVD player. Fully air-conditioned to ensure the guest comfort and sleep-through nights throughout the whole stay. A wooden verandah is available along side of the room, open up on to the swimming pool and the lush tropical garden.

For a more pampered feeling for the guests, the Master bedroom en-suite bathroom is also equipped with an outside door access to enter after a nice swim in the swimming pool. The inside access is found after going through the spacious personalized walk-in wardrobe. LOCATION
Emerald River is located in Canggu 300 meters from the beach on Nelayan Street (Fishermen village). A typical Balinese fisherman village is close by and every morning it will be proposed to your cook fresh lobster, king size prawns, garupa.. according to the catch of the day. The villa is surrounded with rice field, tropical trees as well and other high luxury villas making this very Balinese district one of the most luxurious of Bali. The villa is situated 35 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes from Seminyak the famous shopping and entertainment area, and 15 minutes from Nirwana one of the best Golf course in Asia.

VILLA STYLE
The 4 bedrooms villa of 780 m2 is composed of 4 different 2 storey buildings linked on the second floor by a large terrace and pathway bridges. The 150 m2 overflow swimming pool surrounded by a gym room, the terrace and the open space living room is overlooking the rest of the property and gives an extraordinary feeling of luxury so well integrated in the true Bali. The 2000 m2 land with numerous tropical trees including a huge mango tree is sloping down until the river 200 meters from the beach.

The villa has been designed by the very reputable Yoka Sara who has expressed a modern architecture but has kept the Balinese touch with traditional material such as wood roof, terrazzo, merbau floor. The furniture and equipment are providing an international high level of comfort and includes 2 satellites communication, wireless internet high speed connection, Bose sound system, LCD flat screen television.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The entrance of the villa is opening directly on a large pebble washed terrace planted of palm trees, a gym on the right side, a very comfortable open space living room all surrounding an amazing 150 m2 swimming pool and a 25 m2 Jacuzzi covered by Indian slate stones giving different colours in connection with the luminosity of the day. From the living room a wood path bridge gives access to the air conditioned dinning room including a fully equipped pantry and to the master bedroom hidden by a fabulous mango tree. The master bedroom equipped with ducting air conditioning, TV, DVD, sound system… features a king size bed with mosquito net a separate office space which can be rearranged into an extra junior room, a dressing, and an en suite bathroom. The bathroom features two basins, a shower, a separate toilet, a make up table and a huge out door terrazzo bath tub situated on a secluded and private terrace. From this upper level, guests can admire the India Ocean situated 200 meters from the villa. On the ground floor of this building two air conditioned bedrooms all fully equipped are featuring king size bed with mosquito net en suite dressing and bathroom all with separate toilet, shower and 2 basins. The corridor is leading the guests to the air conditioned TV room and library and to a second master bedroom fully equipped featuring a king size bed with mosquito net a separate office space which can be rearranged into an extra junior room, a dressing, and an en suite bathroom. The bathroom features two basins, a shower, a separate toilet, a make up table and an out door terrazzo bath tub situated on a secluded and private garden. The staff area including storage laundry and kitchen is situated under the gym. All the bedrooms floor and large sliding windows are made with merbau.

All the rooms are nicely decorated mainly with Balinese arts. The garden is manicured with grass lawn, different type of tropical trees, plants and flowers.

ENTRANCE
From the main gate surrounded by an external tropical garden, a large path slope down to the round about where 4 covered car parks are surrounding the main entrance of the villa. On the right side, a hill planted with tropical trees and the temple are providing a high privacy. On the left a large pound decorated with lotus and bamboo gives the feeling of the best of Bali.

THE TERRACE
The gate of Emerald River is opening on a large pebble wash terrace representing on a large scale different tattoo design. This 150 m2 terrace is planted of several palm trees and is featuring 3 single and 1 double well design long chairs, all equipped with comfortable mattress and protected by umbrellas.

THE POOL
Surrounding on one side by the terrace, the 150 m2 overflow pool plus the 25 m2 whirlpools are 25 m long. The amazing shape, the size, the cladding with Indian stones, the overflow on the garden below and the big mango tree gives certainly the most inviting private swimming pool in Bali.

THE GYM
On the right side of the pool, the 60 m2 open space gym with wood floor is featuring equipment such a Treadmill, Bicycle, Dumbbell, Trainer, balls, DVD and television. The east wall is entirely covered by a mirror.

LIVING AREA
The 100 m2 open space living area with its terrazzo floor is proposing the same tattoo design than for the terrace. It’s featuring on one side very comfortable sofa and armchairs and close to the pool a modern well designed waterproof sofa combined with armchairs and coffee table. The living area is equipped with 3 air fan, Bose sound system.

DINING AREA & PANTRY
From the living area, through a wood bridge, guests entered in the air conditioned dinning room and pantry. All the walls are in wood and glass, the floor in terrazzo. From here, you can see the pool on one side and the ocean on the other side. The high ceiling is equipped of air fan as well. The pantry is fully equipped and the dinning room is featuring a 12 seats round table.

TV & LIBRARY
Under the dinning area a 40 m2 air conditioned TV and library room is featuring large flat TV screen with Bose sound system, 2 sets of sofa and armchairs, 2 large coffee tables, air fan.

BEDROOM 1 (MASTER BEDROOM)
After the dinning, following the wood bridge, you enter in the 70 m2 master bedroom facing the river and the sea. The ducting air-conditioned bedroom with Merbau floor and glass wall with silk curtain on 2 sides is featuring a king size bed with mosquito net, 2 large and comfortable armchairs, a coffee table, satellite TV, DVD player.

At the back, a close and large study room equipped with desk and chair can be transformed on a small junior bedroom facing the river. A large and 4 meters long wood balcony overlooking the garden and its famous big mango tree is providing a special feeling and hidden place.

The walking dressing is featuring a large wardrobe. The terrazzo floor bathroom is featuring indoor a make up table, a separate toilet, a shower and two basins. Outdoor, in a garden surrounded by timber screen for the privacy is featuring a large terrazzo bath tub surrounded by tropical plants and flowers.

BEDROOM 2
The 80 m2 master bedroom is surrounded on the side by a private garden. The ducting air-conditioned bedroom with Merbau floor and glass wall with silk curtain on 2 sides is featuring a king size bed with mosquito net, 1 large and comfortable armchair, a coffee table, satellite TV, DVD player.

At the back, a close and large study room equipped with desk and chair can be transformed on a junior bedroom. The walking dressing is featuring a large wardrobe.
