This contemporary Asian-influenced villa provides an open-air lodging from which to escape the bustle of downtown and retire into one’s own private world. A traditional village of Banjar Padang and paddy fields are framing the access ways to Villa Baliku.

The villa was carefully designed in minimalist modern, accented with touches of Balinese elements and selective usage of natural materials. Two semi-separate buildings constitute the main living areas of the villa, separated by an open lawn and swimming pool, and natural Palimanan tiled walkways.

The main building consists of a living area, dining area for 6 people and a kitchen. The living area is adjoining with the master bedroom with a large private en-suite bathroom. The design is dedicated to have true tropical living experience, maximizing enjoyment of soothing breeze against the burning sun.

A cute dining terrace is located to the far left of the structure, allows the guest to have an easy and nice breakfast by the pool. The second bedroom and third bedroom, each one with large en-suite bathroom, are situated in the second building. All the bedrooms features queen-sized bed, are airconditioned,and can be opened up by sliding glass doors if fresh air is desired.

The approach to Villa M is through the Balinese village of Umalas, the narrow country lane then winds through the rice fields for another two kilometres before reaching the main entrance and reception pavilion via a large courtyard with a sizeable parking area.

The expansive gardens, created by landscape designer Anto Kusnanto, are planted with sweet scented flowers and trees, and presided over by a large relaxation gazebo with a daybed. The spacious lawns offer an ideal setting for parties, weddings and dance performances.

3-BEDROOM VILLA

Sitting and Dining room
The air-conditioned sitting and dining room features a solid wood floor and sliding glass doors on two sides, with direct access to the swimming pool and pool deck. There is a well equipped open plan kitchen, a large dining table for eight, comfortable sofas and chairs, and a satellite TV, DVD player and sound system. A guest washroom is located to one side, and a large wooden statue of a Balinese goddess rests within an alcove.

Viewing Sitting Room (2nd Floor)
Timber clad stairs lead from the downstairs living area up to an open air deck sheltered by a thatched roof. This cool and breezy upstairs sitting room offers breathtaking views, and is furnished with daybeds and a low coffee table. Open on two sides, blinds can be dropped for privacy. There is also the provision of ceiling fans.

Study
A small self contained study on ground level features windows on two sides and a wall of bookshelves stocked with books, ornaments and local artefacts. The study is furnished with a desk and a chair, and equipped with Broadband Internet connection.

Bedrooms
The three ground level bedrooms feature bengkirai wood floors, dark wooden furnishings, king size beds and fitted wardrobes under soaring roofs. Each is equipped with a wall mounted, flat screen LCD satellite TV, complemented by a DVD player and sound system. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors open out into the garden. Two of the bedrooms share a centrally positioned bathroom complete with a large frosted glass porthole window.

Bathrooms
The two bathrooms have polished concrete floors, and are fitted with top quality Kohler sanitary ware, each with a large terrazzo bathtub, a toilet, twin washbasins, and an award-winning ‘Rain Forest’ shower positioned within a cubicle. One of the bathrooms boasts sliding glass doors on two sides bordered by a narrow walled garden. The glass doors can be opened to create an al fresco bathing experience.

Pool & Garden
The large, 4 x 12 metre, cobalt blue tiled, infinity edge pool is ideal for swimming laps. It is flanked by a timber deck, and features a random rock wall at one end and a large ‘bale’ relaxation pavilion at the other, complete with a cushioned base, soft drapes, and a pair of candelabra. The garden is bordered by a glass wall designed to maximise the rice field view and highlight the awareness of being positioned directly in the middle of such a gorgeous rural area.

1-BEDROOM VILLA

Sitting and Dining Room
The sitting and dining room is a single storey, air-conditioned building with a high roof. It is elegantly furnished with a solid wood circular dining table for four, a comfortable sofa, ottomans and a coffee table, and equipped with a satellite TV, DVD player and quality sound system. Colourful artwork adorns the fresh white walls, and the provision of three sliding glass doors ensures that guests can fully appreciate the captivating view and the cool breezes. The well-equipped open plan kitchen is incorporated at the far end, featuring cream terrazzo worktops, a serving area, and dark wood units.

Bedroom
The ground level air-conditioned bedroom offers direct access to the pool, and is characterised by a timber floor, dark wooden furnishings and a king size, canopied bed under a soaring roof. There is a flat screen, LCD satellite TV mounted on the wall, complete with DVD player and quality sound system. Three floor-to-ceiling glass doors open out into the garden. There is a dressing area behind the bed, two huge wall mirrors, built in wardrobes and a dressing table.

Bathroom
The adjoining bathroom is light and airy with a polished concrete floor and a large porthole window overlooking the pool. Villa M is supported by a carefully selected team of highly trained, fulltime staff, who will cater to all of the guests’ needs. The cook is trained in the preparation of both local and international cuisine, and is responsible for all of the market shopping. Full service meals can be selected from an excellent menu, which also includes a poolside barbeque. The housekeepers fulfil all of the housekeeping duties while also taking care of the daily laundry. Baby-sitting and in-villa massage services, tours and activities all over the island, together with the facilities of a car and driver are also available on request at an extra charge.

The Style
The style blends modern Balinese architecture with minimalist design and local materials. All of the villas are completely self-contained and secure, with private entrances linked by a walled lane lined with spider lilies and green foliage. The close proximity of the three properties means that the complex is ideal for larger groups of people, or families, who want to be close to each other while still retaining an element of independence and privacy.

The approach to Imani Villas is through the traditional Balinese village of Umalas, the narrow country lane then winds through the rice fields for another kilometer before reaching the property. The entrance to Imani Villas is heralded by a line of palm trees flanking a sizeable parking area, guests are then greeted at an open-air reception pavilion, bordered by an ornamental pond. The locality is dotted with some of the most impressive villas on the island and the sweeping view is enhanced on clear days by the magical sight of the Bali’s mountain range extending from Mt Agung in the east to Mt Batukaru in the northwest. Despite the close proximity to Seminyak, the traditions of rural Bali still prevail; cows are herded through the fields and the sound of ritual music is carried on the breeze.

Set amidst a plantation of mature coconut palms, mango trees and lush tropical gardens lies “Seseh Serasi“, a luxurious and expansive 3-bedroom villa, designed by internationally acclaimed architect, Glenn Parker of GPA Indonesia. Blending the very best of traditional Balinese architecture with modernist luxury, the one thousand square meter property consists of three individual Balinese pavilions arranged around an open poolside courtyard. Cool, light furniture, finishes and fabrics have been chosen to compliment the local materials of alang-alang grass roofs, white palimanan stone floors and decorative Balinese hand-carved columns and doors.

The orientation of the pavilions face west to enjoy the last remaining rays of the sun as it casts its dancing light through the coconut palms. Surrounded by frangipani trees, the 7m x 7m swimming pool incorporates rich green stone tiles creating a naturally fluid connection to the lush surrounding landscape.

Villa Seseh Serasi offers spacious and open-air living and dining spaces complimented by three air-conditioned bedrooms. White cotton mosquito nets and luxuriously soft feather pillows, candles and incense, all create a feeling of romance. The master bedroom, featuring a queen-sized bed, opens onto a gardened indoor/outdoor bathroom with a large modern bathtub and shower.
